Gonzalo Botet (1984, Spain) is a travel, architecture and documentary
photographer.
Upon graduation in audiovisual communication, Gonzalo launched his career in
Spain, where he began his specialization in TV series as a video and camera
assistant. Learning progression and hard work eventually led him to find his true
calling, photography.
While travelling around the world with the ultimate aim of exposing himself to
new cultures, Gonzalo has worked with humanitarian aid organizations, such as
Foundation Olivares (Málaga), Alblamoving (Burkina Faso), Agua de Coco
(Madagascar), Arcoiris Ngo (Cote d´Ivoire), EmPower (India) and Vicente Ferrer
(India).
Additionally, the influence of his travels in Asia, South America & Africa made
him develop a number of personal projects: “Gold in Darkness” (based on
mining industry in Africa), ”After the Earthquake” (Nepal), “Garbage Dumps”
(India), “The Hole” (Madagascar prison system), “Sulfur Miners” (Indonesia)
and “Ilakaka Sapphire’s” (mines in Madagascar).
Gonzalo´s purpose of life is to serve as an example of inspiration to society to
resolutely engage in helping those who need it most.
On the other hand, his vocation for travelling has led him to investigate real
world situations and most unique natural landscapes of this beautiful planet. In
2013 one of his photographs was published in NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC,
Spain.
At the moment Gonzalo is also collaborating as an official photographer in the
architecture sector with multinational companies such as Guardian Glass and
Kawneer.
Based in Marbella (Spain). Available for commercial assignments all over the world.
